Red bell pepper
The pepper is a fruit vegetable, which means that the seeds are protected by a fruit. They are high in fiber and nutrients and low in calories. There are red, yellow, green and orange peppers, each with its own specific taste. The color of a pepper depends on the ripening process. Except for the orange pepper, every pepper is born green. As the pepper ripens, it changes from green to red or from green to yellow.
All bell peppers are rich in vitamin C, but the red bell pepper takes the cake. The red pepper is a combination of the sweet flavors of the yellow and orange pepper and the spiciness of the green pepper. The red pepper is suitable for an endless amount of dishes: as a snack, in salads or all kinds of hot meals.
