Piel de sapo is Spanish for skin of a toad. The piel de sapo melon has the same rugby shape as the yellow melon, but the skin is streaked green with a lump here and there like the skin of a toad. In our opinion, this is the tastiest melon, wonderfully quirky sweet. The perfect melon for "melon con jamon", or ham with melon. Also delicious as a snack, in a salad or fruit punch, or as dessert.
