The pineapple is a tropical fruit. Depending on when it is picked, the skin is green, yellow-green to yellow-brown. It looks a bit like a pinecone, but tropical. The yellow flesh of the pineapple is wonderfully sweet and it has several good health properties. The fruit contains many vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. The fruit fiber and the substance bromelain are good for digestion. Bromelain can cause a tingling sensation in the mouth. The further you eat from the core, the less bromelain you consume.

Pineapple is very versatile. You can eat it as a snack between meals. In this way, it contributes to good digestion. In addition, it is delicious in a smoothie, in salads, grilled, on pizza or pancakes.
